Description : Anise is also called Chinese star anise (Illicium verum), which is widely used in Asian countries and used to make the drug Tamiflu. Today, many pharmaceuticals seek to take advantage of anise's benefits by adding the herb to certain drugs, like cough syrup and throat medications.

Constituents : Anethol (present to about 90 per cent), fixed oil, sugar, choline and mucilage,Anethole.

How to use : Add a few drops to a bowl of steaming water and cover your head with a towel, allowing the steam to ease congestion. Aniseed oil is used for oiling the hair. It has proven its usefulness in hair regrowth. It also helps in repairing the damaged hair. If aniseed oil is massaged well into the scalp, it aids the growth of new hair.
